AKB48, Nogizaka46 to release new singles

The world’s biggest female group AKB48 is set to release their 10th anniversary single, titled “Kimi wa Melody”. On the other hand, their “official rival” Nogizaka46 will release their 14th single, “Harujion ga Sakukoro”. Are you excited?

Of course, you should be! I am excited as you are. The timing is just so right.

Come to think of it. This month, March 2016, marks the 5th year anniversary of my love for the Guinness world record-breaking pop group. And the anniversary single even features my two most favorite oshimens. It’s the return of the queens.

I am looking forward to the coupling song ” Mazariau Mono” sung by Nogizaka AKB, a special unit that includes some members of AKB48, SKE48, HKT48, and Nogizaka46. It’s a kick-ass song, you should love it.

As with the Nogizaka46 single, it is sad to note that the center Fukugawa Mai is graduating. She will leave the group after the release of the single. The coupling track “Tsuyogaru Tsubomi” serves as her graduation song. I’m sad now!

The Fukugawa Mai-centered single is a 5-star, but the video? It deserves a grade higher than “excellent”. Have you check it out? I really cried over her “graduation” or parting speech at the end. Don’t tell me you cried too.

The new singles from AKB48 and Nogizaka46 come as a relief. We have yet to recover from the bullshits caused by Kanye West and his sister-in-law Kylie Jenner. Middle fingers to them.

Why am I not mentioning SKE48? The Jurina Matsui-led squad is going to release their 19th single, “Chicken LINE” at the end of the month.

Well, I have not yet recovered from the departure of Rena Matsui.
